For the first time , Snow White, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty are able to tell, in their own words, the story of their miserable lives. No candid bed-time stories will be found here. Snow white has just expelled from Weitenburg. She now lives as a peasant in the depths of the Black Forest. Talia, presently known by the morbid nickname of Sleeping Beauty, is about to turn sixteen, prick her finger in a spinning wheel and fall in deep sleep. Annette, unfairly called Cinderella (ashes) lives in a state of pitiful decay. Her last chance is in a populist ball in Neuscwanstein, where the prince will choose his future wife. Living in reclusion, the three friends maintain a frantic and desperate correspondence.
