My first publishing experience happened in 1997, when I began a literary website. I had four short stories, no readers and little idea of what people would think. All I knew was that I was ready to get real feedback from people other than my friends. I uploaded the stories, but didn't sign with my real name. I used Indigo, for that was my online persona. It didn't give in my gender, age or nationality. A color, nothing more. One week later Brazil's biggest newspaper " Folha de São Paulo" wrote an article with the headline "Mysterious Indigo". It was a great review and I was thrilled. After that, every other week I added a new short story to my website. Some months latter I began getting invitations to publish my stories in other literary websites and on-line magazines . " Saga Animal ", my first novel , was published in 2001. In 2003 came " Caixinha de Madeira " (The Little Wooden Box) and " Festa da Mexerica " ( short stories). This year (2004) I was invited to participate of two important Brazilian anthologies: "Os Cem Menores Contos do Século " (The 100 shortest stories of the century) that featured short stories (maximum of 50 letters) by 100 Brazilian writers and "25 Mulheres que estão fazendo a nova literatura brasileira "(Twenty five Women that are Producing the New Brazilian Literature). Also, in 2004, I was invited to write a children's version for "Journey to the Center of the Earth", of Julio Verne. I have two more novels ready to be released in 2005.
